Day 19- write about a sweet memory from your past.

When I was first reading through these thirty days of blogging I saw day 19 and couldn’t figure out anything to write that would fit the title. I changed my mind a few days later though.
On February 13th I went to bed unusually exhausted and fell asleep the second my head hit the pillow. This normally does NOT happen and I was shocked that it did. I’ve always been jealous of people who had that wonderful gift. Anyways, at around 12:08 in the morning (now Valentine’s Day) I heard something hit my window. I got a little scared because it was loud. I didn’t want to get out of bed and check to see what it was so I just rolled over and decided to go back to sleep. Not even a minute later I heard something else hit it so I decided I might as well look out. I looked out and saw Stephen Miller running around and David Sayas standing in my grass with a camera. I also saw my mom’s light on underneath my door so I opened it and being half asleep asked “What do I do??” which she replied “Open your window!” I opened it and got to listen to Steve (in a suit, with his guitar) sing me the song Prettiest Friend by Jason Mraz because I am his “prettiest friend”.  After he played it I went downstairs and opened the door and then was asked if I’d be his girlfriend. Pretty gosh darn sweet if I do say so myself. Probably one of the sweetest memories I’ll ever have. Total movie moment. Oh, and of course, I said yes!

       Jason Mraz – Prettiest Friend.
“ This is what I look like today
And I'm trying not to pull out my hair
I'm trying not to show it 'cause I'm far too shy to grow it back there
That's probably why I like wearing hats
There's no denying I'm deferring the facts
Avoiding confrontation
Lacks tact in a situation
Behind every line is a lesson yet to learn

But if you ask me
The feeling that I'm feeling is overwhelming
And oh, it goes to show
I've so much to know

I wrote this for my prettiest friend
Who while trying not to prove that I care
Trying not to make all my moves in one motion and scare her away
Well she can't see she's making me crazy now
I don't believe she knows she's amazing how
She has me holding my breath
So I'd never guess that I'm a none such unsuitable, suited for her

But if you ask me
The feeling that I'm feeling is complimentary
And oh, it goes to show
The moral of the story is boy loves girl
And so on the way that it unfolds is yet to be told

I know that I should be brave
Even pretty can be seen by the blind
I know that I cannot wait
Until the day we finally learn how to find each other
Redefining open minds

And if you ask me
The feeling that I'm feeling is overjoyed
And it's golden, it goes to show then
The ending of this song should be left alone
And so on 'cause the way it unfolds is yet to be told”
